amfAR Vienna Life Ball Gala

July 18, 2010

On July 17, opening night of the XVIII International AIDS Conference in Vienna, amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research, hosted its first gala in the region. Prior to the legendary Life Ball opening ceremony on Vienna’s City Hall Square, amfAR held a dinner at the Parliament. Festivities for the night included musical performances, speeches from honorees Whoopi Goldberg and Bill Clinton, as well as a live auction. Nearly $2 million was raised to benefit TREAT Asia, with help from celebrity-designed MINI Coopers (see Kenneth Cole’s car below).
